The Department is made up of four units, namely, Finance, Administration, Procurement and Income Generation.

Preparation of financial reports for management information
Preparation of financial reports to various donors/partners
Budget control and analysis
Provide financial input into project proposals, budgets and financial reports
Provide advice to management on financial implications of resource allocation and other business decisions
Mobilize financial resources for CHAZ through active participation in negotiations with various partners
Identification and facilitation of new business development ventures and appraise their viability for the sustainability of CHAZ
Review the performance of all CHAZ Business Ventures and advise areas for improvement and growth
Coordinate funds relating to Income Generating Activities (IGA) across all programs
Liaison with external auditors on financial and audit matters
Liaison with banks and other financial institutions on regular basis to create conditions for best returns

International procurements for ITNs and ARVs in collaboration with Crown Agents since commencement of the Global Fund in 2004.
6.Challenges
CHAZ is still growing but the department does not have adequate resources to maintain optimal staffing levels to meet various donor requirements and deadlines.
Increasing costs of keeping up and updating computerized accounting system.
